Received April u, " p.m. Copenhagen, April 3; Forty thousand workers demonstrated outside the Royal Castle while the King was receiving a Socialist deputation. Tha demonstrators overwhelmed a police cordon and entered the square before the castje, shouting, "Down with the King; Long live the Republic." The King informed the deputation that he would consider their claims. He then called a conference of leaders of all the political parties. The King instructed Liebe'g Cabinet to resign, and elections were ordered on the basis of the new electoral bill. The general strike waa •cancelled.-'' Aub.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
