MANUREWA CHILDREN'S HOME.
(To the Editor*. Sir,—Some three years since you vctJt kindly published a letter in which I appealed for used stamps to be sent to mo for the furtherance of the work of this Homo. The response has been extremely gratifying, and the stamps now handled by us approximate to a million a ycnr. These entail a lot of work in cleaning, sorting, and market- : Ing, all of . which has been done by Mr. K. C. Wiltshire, the net proceeds, totalling nearly tlO(j. So long as Mr. Wilt- j shire is willing, and he is still keen to help: In this direction, we think the labor well worth while. We desire by means of this i letter to increase the Interest which the pub-; lication of our former letter aroused, and i shall be grateful for your assistance to-! wards this further publicity. Parcels of stamps may be sent direct to Mr. Wiltshire or to myself, and will be uratefully aeknow- , lodged. 1 should say that Mr. Wiltshire renders all services In this connection without fee or charge, this being his contribution to the work of the Home in which he is very much interested. We are at present providing for eighty children. lam etc., ! THOS. E. WHITTON, Secretary and Treasurer. ! P.O. Box 386, Auckland.
