FARMERS' CO-OP. INGLEWOOD SALE. . (From Our Own Correspondent.) Tor the sale at the Farmers' Co-op. yards, Inglewood, on Wednesday. March 31, 'there was a large number of stock yarded, and a good attendance, but. the combined Influence of the heavy southerly gale a few days previously and the Easter holidays so closely following, dulled the edge of enterprise with buyers, so that there was a marked drop In prices for most lines, though some revival was shown in the competition for store cows. Tills prohably was owing to resumption of business at the various freezing works. Trices realised for sheep were: 4 to 0-tooth wethers 29s Od, woolly lambs 17s 9d to 22s for a specially good lot. f.f.m. ewes from 20s to 27r. Cd, fat and forwards 28s 7d. A choice of weaner Jersey heifers sold for £B. heifers in calf realised from £G 10s to £lO, store cows in rough condition sold at from £3 5s to £B, forward stores from £S Ills to £lO 10s, IS-months steers £3 5s to £4 15s, empty heifers £4 12s Gd to £7 ss.
