(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you kindly grant space to make an appeal for funds towards the objects ot the above society? We wish' specially to point out that all voluntary contributions received to-day will carry a Government subsidy and In view of this and of the fact that a special feature of the Society is work amongst the school children of the whole district and that the general expenses of the Society are heavy, we earnestly and confidently make this appeal to friends of the Society for funds in order that the good work, the value of which has been demonstrated on many occasions, may be continued. : Thanking you In anticipation.—We ore, etc^ W.
