BOXING.
THE TARANAKI ASSOCIATION, A committee meeting of the TaranaM Boxing Association was held In the Soldiers' Club last night, Mr. E. Whittle presiding over a good attendance of membersMatters in connection with the Association aTe rapidly getting into shape. The committee Is receiving encouraging offers of support, and arrangements are in hand for procuring a hall to be used as gymnasium, etc. It was decided to hold a two-night tournament during May, when in addition to amateur bouts, a professional bout will bo put on, the. contestants being a well-known local boxer and an English boxer of repute.
