FRANCO-BRITISH RELATIONS.
ALLIANCE REMAINS UNSHAKEN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, March 26. Following M. Barthou's outburst, M. Millerand (the Premier.) warmly thanked England for her efforts in.regard to the coal question. There was much applause when he declared that the Franco-British Alliance would remain unshaken. M. Barthou, with reservations, associated himself with M". Millerand's statement. The newspapers generally approve M. Barthou's strong French note, but protest against the criticism of England and Mi. Lloyd George, which was carried too far.—Aus.-N.Z. CaWe Assn.
[M. Barthou, an ex-Premier, made a strong anti-British speech in the Chamber, declaring that every strong step against Germany was made by M. Clemenceau, and every concession by Mr. Lloyd George.]
