She should reach here early this morning, with about 600 tons of cargo to discharge. 1 THE KOWHAI. j The Kowhai was due to leave Westport at | 5 pm. yesterday direct for New Plymouth; with about 000 tons of coal for this port, i After discharge she returns to Greymouth to load a furtlier cargo of coal. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa is due this morning from Onehunga. She returns north to-night and is due here again on Thursday morning. She sails the same night for Onehunga, and is not expected here until tho following Wednesday ATHENIC'S DEPARTURE. The local agents for the Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company advlsa that the Athenic's departure has been postponed till Sunday, April 4. THE TAINUI. A wireless message has been received from the Tainui advising that she will reach Auckland on Good Friday. MARINE MISHAP. By 'Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, March 2ft. The Union Steam Ship Company received advice yesterday to tho effect that the steamier Rosamond, which left Westport at 1 o'clock on Saturday morning grounded on the northern side of the French Pass at 4 a.m. on Sunday, and it was refloated without assistance seven hours later. The vessel came 'on to Wellington last night, It is not known whether she has suffered any great damage. Auckland, March 29. Tho steamer Joan Craig, from Newcastle to Auckland, lost, a seaman (name unknown) overboard during the heavy weather. She put Into Russell for unedical attention to another man with his arm broken.
