NOT DISARMED.

GERMANY EVADING TREATY.

' WAJI MATERIAL DISCOVERED. By Telegraph.—Press Aflsn.—Copyright, Received March 20, 11.35 p.m. Paris, March 20. It is reported that 3500 field guns were found by the Allied Commission in tile vicinity of Berlin, and altogether twelve thousand guns, with six thousand aeroplanes, intact, have been discovered throughout Germany, whereas under the terms of the Peace Treaty Germany should not have more than 204 three-inch guns and no aeroplanes. These discoveries, coupled with information in the possession of the French authorities, has. aroused scepticism concerning Germany's intentions in French circles, where it is pointed out that Germany hitherto has failed to take any steps to reduce her army to two hundred thousand within the time limit expiring in a fortnight, while little ha 9 been done in fulfilment of clause thirtysixl and other clauses of the Treaty, the time liimt for which has already expired. French opinion is that Germany's objective is to gain time, hoping eventually to evade the obligations wholly, or at any rate, partially.—lmperial Service. "CONCESSIONS TO GERMANY." BRITISH PREMIER ATTACKED. Paris, March 20. M. Barthou, ex-Premier, and present President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, caused a sensation in the Chamber by violently attacking Britain and Mr. Lloyd Qcorge in connection y.'itli the Peace Treaty and recent events relating to Germany. He said every strong step taken against Germany was signed by M. Clemenceau. and every concession by Mr. Lloyd George. He added that Briton had secured, adequate guarantees through the naval and maritime clauses of the Peace Treaty, whereas France was still vainly straining to secure guarantees against Orr""n danger on land The sr.scch was cheered by many sections of the House, hut the Morning Post's Paris correspondeent declares that Barthou bv his anti-British violence cnmmlHp'l oolitical suicide. There is great the lobby.—Aus.N.2. Cable Assn.
