The International Lawn Tennis Federation rejected the American proposal for the Inclusion of women In the Davis Cup competition. By Telegraph.—rress Assn.—Copyright. Wellington, March 27. The tennis match between the Englishmen and New Zealanders was interrupted by rain after two sets of the doubles had been played. Lowe and Beamish won the first set, B—-4, and Peacock and OUtvlar the second, 7—5. The visitors showed marked superiority lu the opening stages, but the New Zealanders settled down and played a good game The match is to be decided on the best of Ave games, and.-the two sets played will not count. , Ths: match will be recommenced.
