SURPLUS WAR STORES.
SALES TO BELGIUM AND PRANCE. By Telegraph.-—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 27, 2.50 p.m. London, March 23. In the House of Commons, at question time, Mr. J. F. Hope (Munitions Secretary) said that sales of surplus war property had been made to the Belgian Government to the value of six millions sterling, which included railway lines, locomotives, tugs, launches, barges, bridges and huts, and the whole contents of the arsenal at Mons. The sales to the French Government, which were not yet entirely scheduled, were estimated to amount to twenty millions, and comprised railway lines and installations, wharves, bridges, huts, dock equipment, engineering plant, and the whole of the contents of dumps in advanced areas and in the vicinity of Calais and Dunkirk, covering stores of every conceivable nature.
