I Falconer sought for an increase in tli legacy left her under the will of hei late husband. The .application wa based on the Family Protection Act o; 1908. The net value of the estate wa: £7500 and the income £250. Mrs. Fal eoner iva< to be paid £2 per week fron the estate. The son was prepared t< increase his mother's allowance frou £lO4 to £2OB per annum. Mrs. Falconer is at present in re ceipt of the whole of the income fron the estate, but upon William Clarenci Falconer attaining the age of 21 yearin three years' time her income will bE onlv £lO4 per'annum. His Honor said it was problematical es to what was going to happen in land values between now and March 18 1923, when young Falconer came of nsre. After discussion his Honor said he would adjourn the case for three '■cars'. This said his Honor, was the longest adjournment he had ever ordered, but if he fixed an amount upon present values injustice might be done to some members of the family. THE WELLINGTON TRAGEDY. Wellington, March 26. Bright was brought before the magistrate, Mr. Riddell, this morning, charged with the wilful murder of Robert .VfNab on the steamer Armagh. Accused reserved his defence and was committed for trial.
