London, March 23General Nowri, the Emir Feisul's Chief of Staff, who has arrived in Constantinople en route to Paris and London, states in regard to the situation in Syria and Cilicia, that the French now hold the line Adana-Aintab Jerahlus The railways from Aleppo to Adana and Jerabulus have been cut bv Turkish Nationalists, who are success"fu;ly stirring up the inhabitants in this area, also as far south as Beirut and Haifa, against the French. There is much fighting and brigandage, espec : al]y east of A'exandretta. The Nationalists, who are commanded by Kenaan Bey] one of Mustapha Kemal's most capable lieutenants, are determined to drive out the French from the country.
