The divergent ideas of the leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate concerning the form of peace resolution will tend to delay the enactment of such a measure for many weeks. Some Senators are of opinion that there must be a direct repeal of the war declaration itself, as well as a repeal of the extraordinary war powers conferred upon the Government.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
