Chief Detective Bfthop said the Accused was charged under the Crimes Act on her depositions taken, before which she was warned that the evidence she Save might be used again* her. The Inspeotor of Police, however, told her that if she spolce the truth she would not be prosecuted on account of anything she said. She then mado a statement and Inter gave evidence at the trial when the jury disagreed on 18th November. / At the re trial she gave evidence rM .ctantly, and the result was again g. disagreement.
