BESTOWAL OF HONORS.
OOMTLATNT BY LIBERAL MJP. The opinion that two Liberal members of the National Cabinet, the Hon. A. r M. Myers and tlie Hon. W, D. S. Mae- J Donald, should have been honored with the bestowal of knighthoods, was voiced by Mr. E. M'Callum, MP., when speaking at a, farewell to Mr. Mvers at the Commercial Travellers' Club at Wellington* Mr. Mvers. said Mr. M'Ca.llum, was loved by each member of his party, and they felt more than admiration for the v- 'ir> i..id put the good of his country before bis pocket. The political world was a very queer affair. He believed that Mr. Myers should have been honored with- the K.C.M.G distinction, also Mr. Mac Donald. The'present Government should hare given out honors "fairly and squarely." ,He did not want to discuss polities at a, gathering of that, nature, but he wished to say that a spirit of fair play was wanted. "If any two gentlemen of this Dominion earned T a distinction," added Mr. M'Callum, t "thev are my two colleagues before you 'ijo-iufiht.'
