AFFRAY ON A STEAMER.
A MAN FATALLY INJURED. AGGRESSOR AT LIBERTY, v By Telegraph,—Press AuoeUtlon, * Wellington, Last Night. At 7.30 o'clock this evening a disturb* ance occurred on the steamer Armagh lying at Glasgow Wharf, as a, resiut of which' Robert McNab, 29 year* o r f age, storekeeper of tlie Bteamer Waikawa, was fatally injured™ . It appears that McNab visited the Armagh for the purpose of assisting a fireman named Collins, who had bant paid off, ashore with his luggage. When McNab arrived at the head of the Armagh's midships gangway two men, tlrho were not members of the arew, were standing on the deck, and it is ftated that one of these men struck Colllai, knocking him down. As Collins was getting up ]{cK4b moved forward and immediately he wis knocked down by the man who idi first struck Collins. It jg also |t*t«d that as McNab was lying on fee was kicked three times. It wad noticed that he made no attempt to rijM and that he had been seriously injontf. The police and a doctor were m®moned and on their arrival the doctto found that McNab was dead.
