No move has yet been made to count the second and later preference votes which will decide the fate of the new Parliament, and the position is unchanged. There will "be lio nlter.il ion in the election figures until the postal and absent and second preference votes are counted. Calculations of the final results are more or less speculative. It is expected it will be at least a fortnight before the final figures are known. There are still about 1200 absent and postal votes outstanding in Mr. Holman's electorate.—Aus.-N.Z- Cable Assn.
