A poll was taken throughout thfl*, Taraimki County on Saturday on a pro-, posai to introduce a system of rating on (he unimproved value, and the proposal was favored by a large majority. Up to last night "the voting in the Mangorei Riding had not been notifiedi but the small number of votes there cannot alter the result, which is as follows: Votes For the proposal fi22 Against ............... 103 Majority 410 Rating under the new system will come into operation from April Ist.
