FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED.
DEATH OF A SOLDIER. AN ARREST MADE. By Telegraph.—Press Assoclat^m. Auckland, Last jNight. In connection with the finding in the harbor of the dead body of an Australian trooper, William Henry Markwich Sim, it has been discovered that £IOO in banknotes, known to have been in deceased's possession 'a week ago, nas 'been cashed by another person, whereas only £4 odd Was found on the body. The interment was stopped for a post mortem examination, which revealed marks on the head which may liavo been caused by a blow or a fall. It is understood there are other indications not inconsistent with suspicions of foul play. A further development is the arrest of Oscar Paul Fairbuwi, aged 32, i fellowpassenger of the deceased by the' Ulimaroa from Sydney. The inquest has been adjourned. ]
