In the House of Commons, replying to Mr. Asquith in regard to the Allied occupation of Constantinople, Mr. Bonar Law stated that the genera! administration of Constantinople would not be taken over, but the Ministries of War and Marine would he occupied and the postal and telegraphic services and the navigation of the Bosphorus would he controlled by Allied officer?. There had been fighting only at one point-. It was reported that two British soldiers had been killed, Tour wounded; and nine Turkish soldiers killed and others wounded. The Turkish Government had been warned that the occupation would continue until the peace terms were duly executed, and if outrages against native Christians continued the terms of peace would he made more' severe. —Imperial Service. PRESIDENT WILSON'S VIEWS. TURKS SHOULD LEAVE EUROPE. Received March 18, 7.25 p.m. Washington, March 17. President Wilson has forwarded his views on the Turkish question to Mr. F. L. Polk (Under Secretary for State Affairs), who ij framing a memorandum to the Allies.
