WEDDING.

SMITH-GIDDY. A very pretty wedding took place at Bt. Mary's Church, New Plymouth, on March 10, when Miss Louisa Smith, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. 11. Smith, of Huirangi, was married to Mr. Reg. Giddv, second son of Mrs. and the lute Mr. Richard Giddy, of Bell Block. The bride was attended by Miss Nellie Bennett and Miss Laura Smith, sister of the bride, and Miss Gladys Giddy, Sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaids, while Mr. Gordon Giddy attended his brother as best man, and Mr. Fred Smith, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman. The Rev. F. G. Harvie was the officiating clergyman, Mr. Eenaud presiding at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of ivhite crepe de chine, hand embroidered, and trimmed with taffetas and French laee, with embroidered veil orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of lilies, roses and fern with ribbon streamers, to which was attached a tiny horse shoe of white blossoms Miss Bennett wore a dress of maize coloured crepe de chine, relieved with vieux rose and worked with amber beads, black hat with, vieux rose trimmings. The sisters of the bride and bridegroom wore frocks of white silk, embroidered with pink, with crepe de chine sashes and hats to match, and all carried beautiful pink and white bouquets. After the ceremony a reception was held at May and Arrowsraith's tea rnnmp, which were beautifully decorated for the occasion.
