PRESBYTERIANS AND METIIODISTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.Dunedin. Last, Night. The Congregational Union debated a report of a committee on the possibilities of church union and carried the i oil curing resolution unanimously: That tlie churches of the Congregational Union be asked to afiirm the desirability of ,111 early union of the Presbyterian and Methodist, churches; that in view of the attitude of the Presbyterian church indicating the probability of a long delay in accomplishing a union of the denominations, and in view of the special circumstances tending to facilitate an earlier union bc--Iv> <;«• <'ongregationnalists and Presbvievians. the Council urge the wisdom of uniting to approach the Presbyterian ( hiirch with ti view to arranging an immediate union of the two denominations. Other resolutions were passed providing means of determining the voice of the church on the issue.
