Constantinople, '.March 15, All eye witness of the Muranh massacres described one of the most horrible incidents, A hundred Armenians were besieged in a cellar for iive days, when the Turks invited them to surrender, promising protection. The men were shot as they came out and the Turks then entered, and armed with axes and knives, they slaughtered women and children. Only two escaped.
