SWIMMING.

CENTRAL SCHOOL TESTS. The pupils of the Central School are now competing at the New Plymouth baths for their swimming certificates. On Wednesday afternoon Ivy Doughty swain one mile 500 yards, Jessie Jenkins and Vivienne Webster each 1 mile 66 yards, and Beryl ■ Taylor 666 yards. Others Intend to make their efforts next week. The boys have arranged to swim to-morrow morning. Mr. Tugh Is supervising.
