It is understood there is a gool prospect of the Prince of Wale 3 departing on the 13th inst. There are no fresh cases of influenza on the Renown. No decision has been arrived at regarding her sailing, but it is expected she will leave on Saturday.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn,

THE INFLUENZA ON THE RENOWN. PRECAUTIONS AGAINST SPREAD. Received March 11, 1.55 p.m. London, March 10. The outbreak of influenza on the Renown occurred among the midshipmen, of whom eleven were sent to hospital, including ten Australians, of whom five only joined the ship ten days previously. Probably these boys will miss the trip. A previous epidemic of influenza on the Renown in litis also started in the gun-room, and on that occasion over two hundred were down at one time. Every precaution is being taken to prevent such a spread now. The whole crew is kept on the upper deck. On Sunday forenoon, while the ship was battened down, it was fumigated by the medical staff.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
