ENDORSED BY MINERS' UNION. By Telegraph.—Prese Association. Wellington, March 11. All the miners' unions, with the en« ception of Blackball, have practically unanimously endorsed the recent agreement between the mine-owners and tlie Miners' Federation, , It is understood that the Blackball miners are prepared to abide by tin decision of the majority.
Government expected Samoa to bear some of the cost of educating its children. Questioned on the status of German property lie said that aceordinff to the Treaty New Zealand would take over certain Ormnn-owned properties, but till the Order-in-Council Was gazetted he was unable to sav what notion Would he tahen in regard to individual flcrraan planters. * The visit of Sir James Allen and* party tn the London Mwsionaiv Society's training college at Malun for pastors and teachers for Samoa, other Pacific Island.;, and Pnpua, was one of the most notable events of the tour. The member* were impressed with the splendid intelligence and physique.of the four hundred young men and women students. Sir James Allen said he recognised that in their handu lav the future of Samoa. He wished them continued success The members regarded them ai a hopeful augury of the future. ' :
