The Samoan Sundav passed quietly. Members attended the churches of the Lond6n Missionary Society. The Samoans were gratifled that many were preseut at the early native service.

On Tuesday the party motored to the most western end of the island to a plantation of 4ROO acres of coconuts, worked mostly by Solomon Jelanders. It alto carried 4000 cattle for island consumption A party in charge of the Hon. W. CP. Carncross went by launch twelve miles to Sahyifata to pay a courtesy visit to the Samoans who were unable to reach Apia. Mr. Carncross, at the native feast, conveyed the greetings of the Government and was greatly applauded. Officers of administration with their wives were entertained at dinner on the Mokoia.

Members of the party were greatly impressed by the* wireless station, which is more modern than that of Awanui. The Mokoia leaves for Savaii on Wednesday night, returning to Apia on Thursday and thence t> Tonga. The weather is humid.
