Herr Noske (Minister for Defence) has ordered the arrest of Prince Joachim, a cousin of the ex-Kaiser—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received March 10, 10.30 p.m. Berlin, March 8. The ex-Kaiser's cousin, Prince Joa?him Albrecht of Prussia, was a leading figure in a scandalous attack on a French officer, his wife, and a civilian at the Hotel Adlon.
A gang of idle and wealthy German aristocrats, under the influence of drink, demanded "Deutschland Tiber Alles" from the orchestra, and pelted the French for refusing to rise. All were injured before they were able to withdraw with the assistance of a bodyguard of waiters. The French officer wasi a member of a military mission staying at the Adlon The matter will be taken up diplomaticallv. '
The gang has been obnoxiously visiting restaurants and demanding patriotic music! The visit to the Adlon was a deliberate provocation, as it is the principal resort of foreigners.—-Aui.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
