STAR FOOTBALL CLUB.

AXXUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Star Football Club was held at the Soldiers' Club last night, Air. A. L. Uumrjhries presiding over a large attendance. The chairman, in moving the adoption, complimented the secretaries on the splendid work thev had done and congratulated the club o'n its position. The election of officers resulted ns follows:—Patron, .Mr. 10 Dockrill (re-elect-ed) ; president, Mr. E. Whittle (re-elect-edl) ; vice-presidents. Messrs S. Q. Smith, M.P., L. Hoffmann, T. Richards, G' WPalmer, A. Page, ,T Kirsick, and .1. Clarke; secretary, Mr. J. A. Clark; assistant secretary, Mr. P. Sims; club "iptain, Mr. A. L, Humphries, vicecaptain, Mr. Guthrie; auditor, Mr. Humphries; executive committee, Messrs G. Bertrand, \V Crockett, J. Hoskin, 11. MeGahey, De'ane, J. Bowler, and D. Hartman; delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs Humphries and Guthrie. It was decided to appoint two selectors each for the Thursday and Saturday teams and that they act as a board. Messrs Crockett and McGahev were appointed for Thursdavs and Mr. Guthrie for Saturday, the other selector being left to the executive to appoint. It was decided the opening days for the season should be the Bth and 10th April,

A vote of thanks was accorded tho secretary, and he was voted the usual honorarium. Special appreciation was expressed of the services of the assistant secretary. A general vote of thanks was carried to the retiring officers, to those who had helped the club during the past year, and to the Press
