PATE OF THE CHAMPIONS. The King's Fifty includes only three former champions— Roots (1911), Hulllday (1910) and Masefleld (1914). .Nine tyros put it over the oldsters on the long ranges and gffi ahead. Two of them, P. .1. McDonald and l'imm, got into 11th and 13th places respectively. Several ex-champions and the present Blsley Klng'3 Prizeman failed to get into the charmed circle of "Tho Fifty." Leslie Loveday, commenting on the present cotmpetiittan, Ms mm position would have been Improved if the series had been flred, as at Blsley, imder servico conditions, all adventitious aids such as aptrture sights being banned. A meeting of the Rifle Clubs Association adopted an amended constitution for the D.K.A., which it is understood headquarters is willing to confirm and put In operation at once, giving riflemen five representatives out of twelve on the executive. These were, elected as follows: H. Marshall and R. .1. King (Wellington), Skelton (Auckland), Mase(icM (Canterbury), and Shanks (Otago).
