A meeting of shareholders and suppliers cf the Cape Egmont Dairy Factory was liald in the local hall, on Wednesday afternoon last to discuss the method of eolebrating the opening of the company's new general storo. Mr. M. Mealing, presided. It was decided that a sports meeting, etc., he held on the opening day, which is expected to take place In the courso of a week or two. The Hall Committee, who hnvc, arranged a local gala, aro malting every effort to eclipse the usual success which has attended all other efforts to raise funds for hall purposes. lteferen.ee was made, at. tile meeting of the shareholders and suppliers of the Caoe Egmont Dairy Company to the condition of the local hall, which badly requires enlarging and renovating. The chairman suggested that any balance that remains over from their sports meeting be handed over to the Hall Committee for this much needed purpose. A large number of motor cars, etc, passen through here on Saturday en route to New Plymouth to witness the motor-cycle race meeting.
