. URENUI. (From Our Own Correspondent). Urenul is looking forward to a nne day next Thursday as the annua! sports have been revived, A big crowd Is expected, us nominations have been received from all parts of the province, including some of the world's champion axemen. Charlie Chaplin will be there to entertain the kiddles. The travolllng public of this District are getting well catered for now, as there are four or Ave cars ;ind buses leaving each morning for Mew Plymouth. Competition is evidently very keen, as potrol Is almost unprocurable, and in somo cases farmers, who cannot get supplies, will have to milk by hand. Cost of living Is not 'likely to improve as the local store reports an advance la the price of flour, boots, and other essential line 3. Crlcketera have been disappointed by not having a game lately, owing to bad weather and other causes. They have the ground in splendid order, and I often notice '4O or more willing workers mowing and rolling the ground. Tennis la now also revived, and Urcnul is an Ideal place to spend a week-end. Pisning, bathing, boating, tennis and cricket seem to be the popular pastimes.
