THE POKBNGAHU ESTATE. The sale of the Pukengahu estate of 980 acres, owned by Messrs Brown Bros., was conducted In the Parish Hall, Stratford, on Saturday afternoon, by Mr. Newton King and the N.Z. Loan and M.A. Coy. There was a crowded attendanco, but bidding failed to reach vendors' expectations. Three out of the eleven sections were sold as follows: Lot 7.—51 acres, Whapapa Road, all in grass next to the factory.—Sold at £46 per acre, to Mr. M. T. Phillips. Lot 2.—77 acres, Wingrove Road, woolshed, and dip.—Sold at £4O 10s per acre to Mr. M. McDonald. Lot 3.—112 acres, Wingrove Road, subdivided Into five paddocks, up-to-date house and outbuildings, being the homestead. Sold at £sl per acre to Mr. M. McDonald. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
