TARANAKI v. AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND WINS SECOND TEST.
(By Telegraph—Special to Daily Newa.) Auckland, Last Night. The second test match between Auckland and Taranaki was played at tlte Carlton p'een to-day, in ideal weather. Auckland won by llili point* to 140. Oh the seventh iieml the score* were: Auckland 54, Taranaki 57. When the fourteenth head had been completed, Auckland was 110, and Taranaki !U. The next four heads were in favor of Taranaki, who reduced Auckland's lead to seven points. Auckland, however, scored well on the last three heads, and finished 21 points to the good. .Scores (skips only mentioned, Taranaki first in each instance): —
