CRIME IN BRITAIN.
MURDERERS AT LARGE. London, Feb. 5. A crime wave is astonishing and irritating .Europe though the desperadoes form an infinitesimal proportion of the population. Nine murderers remain at large in England. A burglar known as the "White Mask" has appeared at Birkenhead terrorising the servants. His methods are to cover his face with a handkerchief and to threaten the servants with a revolver while he rifles the houses. Two murders were discovered to-day at Cardiff and Westerham.
