AUSTRALIA'S OPPORTUNITY.
ITS IMMENSE POSSIBILITIES. NEW PLACE AMONGST NATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Aisn.—Ccpyrtjat, Received March 5, 725 p.m. Sydney. March 5. Speaking at the Million Club, Mr. B. Long, Dominions' editor of the London Times, said the Australian news published in English papers was lamentably small. The Times had decided that the best way to improve matters was to send a representative here. 4 ' After referring to the position Australia hud won in the eyes of the world through the war, Mr. Long declared that now the iron is hot it is the time to impress the British community that here was a community with immense possibilities and forging ahead. Australia held a new position internationally as a signatory to the Peace Conference; and could no longer regard herself as isolated from the rest of the world. She must take ner part in settling the great questions awaiting the, world's decision.— Aus.-N.X. Cable Assn.
