DEMANDS FOR MORE PAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The largest meeting of the Timaru branch of the P. and T. Association ever held, to-night passed a resolution that the present scale of salaries is not in keeping with .the high cost of living, and insisting on an increase of not less than £3O on the present salaries. The minimum for married officers should be increased to £230, and the minimum to temporary officers to IBs per day. An allround increase of charge* is suggested as a source r>t llie money required.
