AIR LINER SERVICES.
SYNDICATE AT WORK. London, Feb 23. _ The scheme for a service of air liners to America and eleewhere has been further developed. The Daily Mail states that a large engineering and shipping syndicate has been formed, including the Orient, P. and 0., and Cininid lines, which are each subscribing .€IO.OOO for the coat of the experimental flights. It is suggested that the commercial routes will include Britain to the Continent, and Africa to the East. Tito promoters . are (encouraged by the success of a new system adopted at Pulhivm for mooring airships outside sheds. -
An earlier eahlc message stated that ■prominent aviation firms', including Vickers, Armstrong, Beardmorej'. and Shortts, were combining to establish a service of air liners to America and elsewhere. It was intended to purchase the existing Government airships. and Imilil others, first running to Scandinavia and afterwards- farther afield. The hasie ships would he of n capacity of 3,;i00/K)0 enhic feet, with a cruising radius of 4300 miles and a cargo of 15 tons.
