NEW PLYMOUTH MEETING. The programme for the New Pljmouth Motor Cycle .Sports en March 0 Includes eight racM and fin attempt by Percy Coleman to shatter his present world's record for u mile on a grass track. In tho Pitzroy Handicap Coleman is pa.lled upon to concede the limit man 85 sees . Ciavingbold, on the COsec. mark, is r«inarkftbly well La, and should show well in this event. The Motiiroa Handicap, which is the lightweight maehlno event, is very opw, and should result in a great dual between Hweeaicy, Gaisford, Jones and Darey. The event causing a good deal of local rivalry is the Members' Handicap, and it is to be hopedi that all members will toy theJr luck and so make the race a roal contest. « Tho chief races of the day will be New Plymouth Handicap (15 laps), and Ngamotu Handicap (10 laps). The handicapped seems to have been very considerate to the light weights in theso events, but with Coleman in his present Tacbig form he will very possibly account for Davy Jones and Co. The public are reminded that the first race starts at 12.45, and the price of admission admits to ail parts of the ground.

HAWERA MEETING. Great Interest Is being taken in the races. The entries include competitors from na far south as Christchurch, among whom are such wizards of speed as Coleman, Mangham, and Crawley. Anyone who has not witnessed Coleman and Mangham racing neck and neck, lap after lap, at over 70 miles per hour cau hardly realise what excitement prevails at motor cycle meetings where these two wonderful Tlders are competing. Coleman this year is mounted on an Improved racing model, which he acquired while in America, while Mangham has Just received word of the arrival of his new racing model, so the public can look forward to some Stirling contests between these two. The Hawera Citizens' Band will be in attendance, 'while soft drinks and afternoon Ita will he obtainable on the grounds.
