THE TIMES MACHINE. ENGINE FAILURE CAUSES CRASH. Bv Telejraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, Feb. 27. The Times machine arrived at Tabora this morning, all well —Reuter. Later. The starboard engine of the Times machine failed when taking off from Tabora aerodrome, and the aeroplane crashed. Coekerell's wrist was sprained and Corby's leg bruised, but no serious damage was caused to the men, who are all sound. Both under-carriages were broken through the lower planes, which it is impossible to repair without complete dismantling. A new undercarriage, new lower planes, the tanks, engines and propellers were untouched by the crash, but the engines are in any case hopeless and will require complete overhaul and new cylinders. The pilots await instructions. Continuation of the journey is now hopeless-—Reuter.
