Having been plunged into distress by the action of a multi-millionaire in "cornering" flour, the poorer classes of a community are led to hate the wealthy man, and not the least hateful is the daughter of a baker. Her family ruined, she has to shift for herself, but eventually a life of hardship and suffering Is brightened by the restitution offered by the millionaire's son, to whom she is finally married- There are other interesting pictures shown in support.

THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF VIOLA DANE. Charming little Viola Dane plays a fine role in her latest Mc.ro success, '"The Parisian Tigress," concluding tonight at tlie People's. It is a bright comedy drama of the days when Paris was gay and romantic, before the war clouds burst upon the world- It personifies gaiety, and yet it is a story of both smiles and tears which wins the hearts of all observers. To-morrow's new programme is heeded by the Paramount super-feature, "Paid in Full," starring the emotional empress, beautiful Pauline Frederick, who is supported by a particularly able cast of players.
