HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph— Press Association. Wellington, Last flight. The Prime Minister gave a reporter information regarding advances to local bodies under (he Government's housing scheme. He said that the applications and inquiries received from local bodies had represented a total sum of £405,000, and applications that had been entertwined by the Government totalled £75,000, the maximum loan in any single case being £IO,OOO.
