Visitors to the Ksjigltiket Club's race meeting on March 24 and 25 will bo agreeably surprised with the improvements made. The Inside enclosure has been enlarged to about four timeo its prerlous 3lzo, giving ample room for the increased attendances expected, as well as for the ever-increasing numbers of motor care requiring safe paddecking. Tho lawn entrances now butt on the main road, separate enlrances being provided for foot passengers and for motorists. The totallsator house has bean shifted back, and rebuilt on a much larger scale, providing seven more selling windows and five more pay-outs.' making a total of 22 soiling windows and 13 pay-outs. The frontal portion jutts out so as to keep the orowd well back, thus avoiding crowding about the windows. Up-to-date conveniences, all In concrete, are fed from a raised water toner, also in concrete, which Is capable of holding 2000 gallons. The accommodation hnuso for trainers and Jockeys has been considerably enlarged, three extra sleeping rooms, an enlarged dining room and a smoke room being addeVl. All the rooms ere well lighted and well ventilated, and the sleeping accommodation (which provides for sixty persons) is most comfortable. Eighteen more loose boxes have been erected, making slxty-slx In all. and the boxes are large, roomy, well ventilated, and on high dry ground. The total scheme will cost abont £lo.oooi
