FIRE AT PALMERSTON NORTH. £4,000 DAMAGE. .By Telegraph.—Pros* Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. A fire broke out at midnight on Saturday in the wool department of the Loiigburn freezing works. The flames spread rapidly, and the buildings housing the wool and felhnongery plants were completely gutted, A concrete wall and the efforts of the amateur brigade saved the remainder of the. works. A portion of the burned building had been erected only a few months.
