JURY FINDS FOR PLAINTIFF, By Tolegrapk—Press Association. Pftlmerston N.. Last NightAt the Palmorston Norlli Supremo Court, C. W. Dale, employed at the Lake House, Waikaremoana, sued John Gillespie, Palmerston North, for £I,OOO damages for alleged libel contained in a letter to the Minister for the Tourist and Health Department, complaining of the loss of a rug, implicating Dale. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff and assessed the damage; at £27.). Counsel for the defendant opposed the entering of judgment on a point of law, which will he considered on Tuesday.
