The secretary of the Frankleigh Park Settler?' Association wrote asking-tho Council to reconsider its decision inmgard to water supply along FranMey Koad. Attention was also drawn to the state of tlie water tables and footpath on the Frankley Rond, and the road on Frankleigh Park Hill. The Borough engineer reported that a small pipe would not be satisfactory considering the length to be served by the same. He reported that the footpath was not generally in a bad condition. T!je water tables would be erected and tarred when the plant arrWed on the road fpr resurfacing, tut too definite date could be assigned when that would be powibjft, It was decided to inform the AssoeU ation that the Council could not see ft* way to alter its previous decision until such time as the new water loan should bo carried. .~ v In regard to the footpaths and chan? - nol? it was decided that they would be attended to when the more important works in the borough had been attended to.

The Mayor remarked that It was tha smallest suburb of the town, and ho thought it had received more generous treatment, comparatively, than any other, suburb, having two miles of asphalt road. ELECTRIC LIGHT AND TBAMWAY9 DEPARTMENT. i The Electric Light and Tramways Committee reported making the following, recommendations;—-That Mr. W.
