POLES READY FOR AN ATTACK.

Mr- Peacock, writing from Warsaw, states that, after consulting the Polish Foreign Office and studying p'opulaYi opinion, he believes that if the Bojshef viks attempt forcible penetration weak: ward they will encounter an impregnable wall. The Poles are cherishing the Na-' tional motto: "Equals with equals, freemen with freemen." They.regard.Bolshevism as essentially despotism which must be fought for the sake of Poland's new liberties and the safety of Europe, Warsaw, Feb. 13. General Pilsudski, interviewed, confirmed the recent reports that the 801-: sheviks are rapidly preparing for a great offonsivc against the Poles. "Koverthcless, the Poles, although•toferT-jr"in numbers, do not fear the results as the Reds are poor fighters, and the internal conditions in Russia are now critical for Soviet supporters.
