SHORTAGE OF BENZINE.
EFFECT ON DAIRYING INDUSTRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Te Awamutu, Last Night. A representative meeting of farmers and other users of power to-day considered the position arising from an acute shortage of benzine in this district. A resolution was forwarded to the Premier and the Board of Trade, pointing out that unless supplies are in sight in two days, thousands of cows will have to be dried off, and a great loss in production will bo sustained. Already a great number of milking machines are idle, and it is difficult to get labor for hand milking.
