NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOLS BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Now Plymouth High Schools Board was held last evening. Present: Messrs. L. O. Sladdcn (chairman), E. P. Webster, A. Morton, A. E. Washer, J. S. Fox, F. W. Atkinson, and H. Trimble. It was decided to order future supplies of chemicals from England, a3 was done in ordinary times. Messrs, Julian and Son's tender for additions to the school of two class-rooms for the Boys' School was accepted, on the recommendation of the Building Committee. The contract price was £1492. If the attendance warrants, four classrooms will be erected. The matter of securing temporary accommodation for the Boys' School until the new class-rooms are ready was left in the hands of Messrs. Webster and Washer. The Agricultural Committee notified that Mr. H. Ward had been appointed farm manager under, the Board. It was reported that the new wing at the boys' boarding-house was almost .ready for occupation. It was decided to sot up a committee to confer with Mr. Moyes with regard to the management of the boys' boardinghouse. The secretary (Mr. E. Lash) was granted a fortnight' 3 holiday, to take effect from next week It was decided to thank the Taranaki Jockey Club for their assistance last year in providing accommodation for some of the boy boarders in the stewards' stand. . ' Accounts amounting to £BGS 18s Od were passed for payment.
