OPUNAKE.

(From A Correspondent). The annual fete held under the auspices of the Opunake Seaside Improvement Society is to take place on Wednesday next. Enthusiastic committees are at work, and this year's feto promises to easily eclipse any of its predecessors. The Society make a special feature of catering for the amusement of the young folk, and adults will also find that their taste has not been neglected, pports and competitions are provided, whicli will occupy the lull afternoon. The Opunake beaeh is now well known throughout Taranaki for its ideal surf bathing and beautiful surroundings. Patrons are. specially invited to take this opportunity of an enjoyable day's outing. By so doing they will assist the Society in augmenting its funds, so that further facilities and improvements for the benefit of visitors may be effected.
